These trailer tires are DOT approved for high speed use on US Highways.
These 480x8 trailer tires are referred to using a few different names and formats, this tire is an equivalent replacement trailer tire to tires reading 480-8, 4.80x8, 4.80-8 and even 4.80x4.00-8. This tire actually says 480x4.00-8 on the sidewall of the tire, this middle number (4.00) is left out because it can be assumed
These tires are commonly used on smaller trailers including but not limited to: Jetski trailers, Snowmobile Trailers, utility trailers, etc. They have a maximum PSI rating of 60lbs and should be kept at this pressure. Many people have trailer tires fail on them because they are not kept at their max pressure, the trailer tire's sidewall heats up, and results in a blowout.
This 8 Inch trailer tire is a 4 Ply, meaning that it is constructed of 4 Ply's giving it a Load Range B rating, Meaning that it can hold up to 590lbs. The load capacity of each tire is 590 pounds, so if you have two tires on your trailer, your load capacity of your trailer would be double that.

Warranty Information
For the first twelve months from the date of sale, Kenda will replace your Kenda/Loadstar tire for any reason as part of our Worry-Free Warranty. Subject to the limitations contained in this Limited Warranty, your new KENDA/LOADSTAR tires are warranted under this Limited Warranty against failures due to defective materials and workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date of tire manufacture. Tire manufacture date is determined by the Department of Transportation (DOT) - prescribed tire identification numbers.
