Proposition 65 is a Californian requirement of businesses to provide warnings to consumers about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. This allows Californians to make an informed decision on their exposure to these chemicals.
Prop 65 only applies to companies that operate, manufacture or sell products in California, but as Badger Components does sell to the 48 Lower States, labels will be utilized on all products.
There are over 900 chemicals on this list. Due to this, it is possible that our products may have traces of various chemicals due to the manufacturing process or within the materials themselves.
This does not necessarily mean that our products will cause cancer or reproductive issues, however California has decided that their consumers have a right to know if there is a possibility of exposure to these chemicals.
Furthermore, exposure from products purchased from Badger Components is negligible, however, Badger Components has decided to provide the Proposition 65 warnings so that customers can make informed decisions in relation to their purchase.
